Mark Daniels is the landlord of The Tharp Arms, a small pub in the village of Chippenham, near Newmarket, Suffolk, which he runs with his wife, Alison.

Born in 1972 in Redcar, North Yorkshire, to a family of entertainers, Mark enjoys an active imagination, a love of cars, an infatuation with Formula One and a passion for writing.  The son of a musician and the nephew of magician Paul Daniels, Mark enjoys an over-developed sense of humour and a creatively pertinacious view on life.

When not busy pouring pints behind the bar, he enjoys spending time with his two sons, Malachy (9) and Jacob (6), and writes regularly to his personal blog.  He is also a frequent contributor to The Publican magazine, a publication for the licensed trade, and has his own online column on their website.
